Are you looking to work from home?
Jobs and workplaces are generally very structured and we are expected to stick to a stringent schedule and deliver on time. We have people reviewing our performances on a regular basis and pointing out where we need to strengthen our weaknesses. Someone else is at the helm at all times telling us how high to jump.
When I started working from home, even though it was very part time, (do NOT quit your day job until you're making a decent income) I found I had the attention span of a tse tse fly. Being so used to workplace routine and told what needed to be done, I was a bit lost and easily distracted. To make matters worse, I signed up with the wrong company and spent an entire year doing what my "coach" told me to do and worked like a mad woman only to end up in debt.
I do not lose very well and I hate quitting.
But I had to cut my losses and figure out another way to make money from home. I did not want to return to the workplace and going back to traveling for my profession was out of the question. In reflecting on why my first attempt at a home business did not work (aside from signing up with the wrong company), I got the help I needed to re-vamp exactly how I was going to structure and conduct my home work-life more productively. I found an honest and viable company with no hidden fees, and started over again.
My humble advice if you are mulling over different home based companies and/or businesses to sign up with is please, please, please do your homework. If they pitch their company by telling you that if you just follow their "system" you will make a tub of money but don't tell you about all the extra ongoing costs and fees they will charge you to work it....run!
