Feeling scattered, hurried and unsure of your financial future? Join the club.
Or not.
I'm opting out of "the club" myself. Something BIG happened in my life (no, I didn't get laid off although that is big too) a year and a half ago that made me take a very serious look at my life, what I was doing and where I was going. It was way past time for a career change but the sinking economy had me paralyzed to the thought of change.
My own personal dream the last few years has been to work from home. I was at a point where it was time to change how I made a living while incorporating a lifestyle that I enjoy and that makes ME happy.
It's possible to make a very comfortable living working from home these days with the internet, social media and getting the right help in learning how to choose and run your business effectively.
But remember; In working from home there will be nobody cracking the whip.
You will not have a boss with deadlines and expectations as to your performance. It's up to you. You must be adamant in scheduling your time and putting total focus into creating your work ethic when working from home.
And make sure you schedule in that hike with the dogs during your workday. It's awesome!
Very good point about being adamant (and committed) in scheduling work time when working at home. I find that the distractions are much more prevalent and difficult to resist when working at home vs. working away from home in an office. I have a difficult time sticking to my daily schedule for working on my book project. Discipline and focus are key. How do you maintain it day after day?

Great perspectives, Cheri. Reaching your dreams takes commitment (both energetic and financial), a great company and the right advice to get off to a good start and not waste a lot of time trying to "figure things out".
Success comes from those who are disciplined enough to work consistently everyday and passionately believe in the business and offers the represent.
